Personal data (hereinafter generally referred to simply as “data”) is processed by us only to the extent necessary and for the purpose of providing a functional and user-friendly website, including its content and the services offered there.

According to Article 4(1) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to simply as the “GDPR”), “processing” means any operation or set of operations performed on personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure, or destruction.

In the following Privacy Policy, we provide information in particular about the nature, scope, purpose, duration, and legal basis of the processing of personal data, insofar as we determine the purposes and means of processing either alone or jointly with others. We also inform you below about third-party components used by us for optimization purposes and to improve the quality of use, insofar as third parties process data under their own responsibility as a result.

Our Privacy Policy is structured as follows:

I. Information about us as the data controller
II. Rights of users and data subjects

II. Rights of Users and Data Subjects

With regard to the data processing described in more detail below, users and data subjects have the right

  • to obtain confirmation as to whether data concerning them is being processed, to obtain information about the data processed, further information about the data processing, and copies of the data (see also Article 15 GDPR);
  • to request the rectification or completion of inaccurate or incomplete data (see also Article 16 GDPR);
  • to request the immediate erasure of data concerning them (see also Article 17 GDPR), or, alternatively, where further processing is required pursuant to Article 17(3) GDPR, to request restriction of processing in accordance with Article 18 GDPR;
  • to receive the data concerning them that they have provided and to have this data transmitted to other providers/controllers (see also Article 20 GDPR);
  • to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if they believe that the data concerning them is being processed by the provider in violation of data protection regulations (see also Article 77 GDPR).

Furthermore, the provider is obliged to inform all recipients to whom data has been disclosed by the provider of any rectification or erasure of data or restriction of processing carried out pursuant to Articles 16, 17(1), and 18 GDPR. However, this obligation does not apply insofar as such notification is impossible or would involve disproportionate effort. Notwithstanding this, the user has the right to obtain information about these recipients.

Users and data subjects also have the right under Article 21 GDPR to object to the future processing of data concerning them, provided that the data is processed by the provider pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. In particular, an objection to data processing for the purposes of direct marketing is permitted.

III. Information on Data Processing

Your data processed when using our website will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose for storing it no longer applies, provided that there are no statutory retention obligations preventing the deletion of the data and unless otherwise stated below with regard to individual processing procedures.

Contact Requests / Contact Options

If you contact us via the contact form or by email, the data you provide will be used to process your request. Providing this data is necessary to process and respond to your request—without it, we may not be able to respond to your request, or may only be able to do so to a limited extent.

The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Your data will be deleted once your request has been conclusively answered and provided that no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion, such as those that may apply in the event of subsequent contract processing.

Server Data

For technical reasons, and in particular to ensure a secure and stable website, data is transmitted by your internet browser to us or to our web hosting provider. These so-called server log files include, among other things, the type and version of your internet browser, your operating system, the website from which you accessed our website (referrer URL), the pages of our website that you visit, the date and time of each access, and the IP address of the internet connection from which our website is accessed.

The data collected in this way is temporarily stored, but is not stored together with other data relating to you.

This storage is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the performance, stability, functionality, and security of our website.

The data will be deleted no later than seven days after collection, unless further retention is necessary for evidentiary purposes. Otherwise, the data will be wholly or partially exempt from deletion until an incident has been finally clarified.

Matomo (without Cookies)

Matomo is a privacy-friendly web analytics software that operates without the use of cookies. Instead, a so-called “digital fingerprint” is used to recognize returning users. This fingerprint is stored anonymously and updated every 24 hours. It is based on pseudonymized IP addresses and users’ browser settings and enables us to analyze activity within our online services without allowing conclusions to be drawn about the identity of individual persons. The data collected through the use of Matomo is processed exclusively by us and is not shared with third parties. Legal basis: legitimate interests pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
